  • Well said Conservative Democrat.  I was once the chairman of a local Repub org. in the days when they had some intelligence in the party.  I abandoned it many years ago for the reasons you state so well.

  • maybe if there was some experience to back it up but there isnt, none. but that won out over someone who wasn't as glamorous but had a ton more experience and that strikes me as people voted their emotions and not their intelligence.

  • Regarding health care, I recently visited Costa Rica.  There they have done away with the army and used the money saved to give all citizens free health care.  Food for thought for us in US.
